There are several official agencies which set inspection standards for visitor accommodation, such as Quality Cumbria , Visit Britain (VB) , The Automobile Association (AA)  and the Recognised Outdoor Activity Member scheme  (ROAM). Where properties have gained such a standard it is indicated in the list below with the appropriate agency logo. Spacious, cozy and well appointed 18th Century stone cottage in the centre of Sedbergh, 3 doors from the Information Centre. 2 double bedrooms, large sitting and dining rooms, small enclosed garden off the kitchen, and separate laundry room with washer and dryer. Footpath to the Howgill Fells is 5 minutes away. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

If you have children, be aware that the front door opens directly onto the narrowest part of Main Street. Steep stairs lead to the bedrooms and bathroom.

Pippin Cottage

Pippin Cottage is a quaint stone and slate built holiday retreat situated just off the main street (behind Dalton & Hague Solicitors), in walking distance to all that the town has to offer.

The cottage offers two bedrooms (one double and one single room) and sleeps up to four, with a fully equipped kitchen, newly fitted shower room, television with DVD player, CD player and wood/coal burning stove. As well as the stove there are night storage heaters throughout and a dry cupboard under the stairs for those wet boots and coats.

There is a large private patio area to the rear of the cottage where you can sit and enjoy the breathtaking views.

There is ample parking to the rear of the cottage through the narrow drive way, off the main street.

Ruby's Cottage

Ruby's Cottage is Grade II listed and part of a former mill on the outskirts of Sedbergh. The cottage has been restored to a very high standard providing cosy self-catering holiday accommodation for up to four people, although, with the open beck (stream) very close to the rear of the cottage, it would not be considered suitable for children.

The cottage is situated close to the River Rawthey with many picturesque riverside walks and for the more adventurous 'The Howgills' offer miles of walking for the beginner and more experienced alike.

Saddlers Cottage (109 Main Street)

A newly refurbished, traditional cottage comprising three floors with all the home comforts, two bedrooms, one double, one twin with bunks, lounge with fire and LCD cinema system, gas central heating, traditional kitchen/dining room and bathroom with electric power shower and bath.

The cottage is located in the heart of Sedbergh, you only have to walk a few hundred yards at the most to the local eateries, pubs and shops. Walk out of the door, cross Back Lane, walk 200 yards down unmade Vicarage Lane and you're at the start of a beautiful country walk by the River Rawthey and the surrounding meadows.

Complimentary Wireless Internet access is available (bring your own Laptop).

Bainbridge Court

Each of the five individual self-contained maisonettes has the capacity to sleep up to four people in two bedrooms with an extra couple if needed on a bed-settee in the living room.

The ground floor unit is especially designed to cater for accompanied wheelchair users who may benefit from the level access from the car park and roll-in shower with accessible handrails. This unit has a Visit Britain 4 star rating with a grade 2 accessibility rating.

The other 4 units in Bainbridge Court have a 3 star rating and are similar but are maisonettes with a living room / kitchen on the first floor and 2 bedrooms and bathroom on the 2nd floor.floor.

Dun Ringhyll

3 bedroom property set in quiet cul de sac close to town centre. Downstairs WC, living room & dining room. Fully fitted kitchen with gas hob & electric oven, dishwasher & washer/dryer.

Memories Cottage

An 18th Century cottage with 3 double bedrooms (and an additional "put me up" bed for a 7th person), sitting room, dining room and extremely well equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. Satellite TV available,

Summerhill

A large Victorian house that has been completely refurbished, providing authentic features with contemporary bathrooms. The house is available for self catering (sleeping 6 - 8) for the duration of the school holidays.

Fell House

Stay in the centre of town in this luxurious and spacious conversion of an old grain warehouse. Sleeping for up to 14, but flexible enough to provide a weekend away for a couple too. Walk straight on to the Howgills, and no drive back from the pub in the evening!

Farley Croft

Superb, spacious house and adjoining self contained annex sleeping up to 15 in total. Ideal location at the foot of Winder Fell and only 2 minutes walk to the centre of Sedbergh. All the home comforts plus games room and large garden area to enjoy.
