Description
Sleeps up to 6
Little Winder is a newly renovated mid-terraced cottage sleeping 6 at the foot of (big!) Winder, the fell that dramatically dominates the town. It is an ideal base for families or groups of friends looking to make the most of all the area has to offer. Situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and on the edge of the Howgills, there are walks, cycle rides and wild swims aplenty from the doorstep. If you have more time to explore then it is just a short drive to the Lake District National Park and the coast (Arnside & Silverdale AONB).
The cottage is a stone's throw from the main street and all Sedbergh has to offer. Sedbergh is a bustling market town, full of character. There are fantastic artisan markets in the summer and independent shops and cafes including a brilliant greengrocer (Powells), sweet shop (The Green Door), butchers (The Meat Hook) award winning pubs (The Black Bull) and microbar (The Thirsty Rambler) not to mention the book shops and craft workshops.
The entrance hall has plenty of hanging space for all your coats and boots and leads to the living/dining area. The sitting area has an electric log burner & slate hearth, a super comfy sofa for 6 and an indulgent 50” television. Perfect for hunkering down for a good film after a long day outdoors or watching live sport.
At the other end of the room is the dining area, relax over dinner with views of (big) Winder and a huge map of the area so you can dissect the day's adventures and plan the day ahead. Plenty of board games and books are provided too.
The new German kitchen has quality appliances including a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven, microwave and washing machine. Basics are provided.
Upstairs are three bedrooms;
One super king (can be twin upon request), one twin room and one bunk room (suitable for adults too). All supplied with quality bedding and luxury towels.
The new bathroom includes a bath for soaking your limbs after a day on the fells, a powerful shower, and a heated towel rail.
Gas central heating controlled by the nest thermostat.
Outside is a secure bike storage and garden that is work in progress but should be a haven for nature by the summer.
