Sleeps up to 2
The Roost is a comfortable and relaxing retreat created from an 18th century stone-built barn, spacious and luxurious inside and with exceptional views in all directions.
It is ideally located with plenty of walking and cycling from the doorstep, including The Dales Way just a few minutes away and the Howgill Fells in easy reach. The cottage is quiet and sheltered, but easily accessible and only a short distance from the M6, the Lakes and Dales.
There is a generous kitchen and breakfast area with dramatic views to the Howgill Fells, a large downstairs shower room, a separate dining room and a spacious full-height lounge with views across the rear garden and down the Lune Valley. Upstairs is the house bathroom and a double bedroom with a feature window looking up into our woodland.
Extensive refurbishments for 2020 including new showers, floors, decoration and furniture, give the house a fresh and comfortable feel. The Roost has full central heating and double glazing, high-speed ‘B4RN’ fibre broadband, complimentary WiFi and a digital TV.
Outside, a garden area to the front looks across to the Howgill Fells. Behind is a South-facing enclosed paved area leading to a private orchard garden looking over the Lune Valley. Above is the woodland with gentle paths up the hill to seats with spectacular views to the East over Middleton Fell and Baugh Fell and into the Dales.
