Coronavirus News - 31st December 2020
Regrettably pubs, cafés and non essential shops have had to close again due to Sedbergh being subject to Tier 4 restrictions along with the rest of Cumbria. Some hospitality businesses will however continue to provide takeaway meals.
We are very sorry that you cannot visit us at the moment but we look forward to seeing you when restrictions are lifted in the future.
As well as dedicated bookshops many other shops sell books alongside their normal stocks. Our Book Cafes have themed books for you to browse while you eat & drink.

When the residents of Sedbergh have a spring clean – in the kitchen, of the bookshelves, the wardrobe perhaps, they are inevitably left with some perfectly serviceable items that they no longer need. They bundle them up and take them to Clutterbooks & Clobber, Sedbergh’s Community Charity Shop, for a possible second life.
