Sedbergh, England’s Book Town

Sedbergh is England’s official Book Town. Born out of a need to re-invigorate the local economy after the 2001 foot and mouth disease outbreak this Book Town has a huge variety of books from cheap reads to collectables available from a wide range of book sellers in shops & cafes. You can even sit and read a book in our new Book Shelter.
