Walks start at 10.30 from outside Sedbergh Information Centre. No need to book, just turn up! Price £10 per person.

The walks are run by BEExpeditions.co.uk walking guides Ryan and James who are qualified mountain leaders.

Boots or trainers and a waterproof jacket, in case of rain, are the only clothing necessary.  Bring a drink and a light packed lunch as there will be a pause during the walk for refreshments.  Packed lunches can be purchased from shops in the town.

Walks for October are: –

9th October – a circular lowland walk along the valley and returning along the river Rawthey with a lunch break at New Bridge picnic site. The walk is 4.8 miles taking roughly up to 3 hours.

16th October – a circular walk down the valley to Brigflatts Quaker Meeting Room and return along the river Rawthey. The walk is 4.6 miles taking roughly up to 3 hours.

23rd October – a gentle circular walk up Winder Fell and down. The walk is 4.8 miles taking roughly up to 4 hours.

Saturday 19th December 7pm – Dark sky adventure on Winder – a walk up Winder by head torch to enjoy a 360 degree view of the night sky. Start from Sedbergh or get picked up in Manchester or Lancaster.
