Henry Wilson has been established as a specialist dealer in transport books since 1983 and has been trading from his shop in Sedbergh's Main Street since 2008 with a large range of new and second-hand books covering most aspects of railways at home and abroad. Stock ranges from fine antiquarian items contemporary with the beginnings of railways to many more recent out of print titles. Sedbergh Market
An open air market is held in Sedbergh every Wednesday.
Starting in April 2007 this will incorporate a "Local Produce and Farmers Market" on the second Wednesday of every month offering locals and visitors alike a large choice of locally produced, quality products which include both food and craft items.

The Chair Workshop offers a complete restoration service for all your cane, rush, seagrass, Danish cord, willow and rope seating needs. Established in 1989, they restore a wide variety of furniture, from simple bedroom chairs to blind double-caned Bergere suites, using traditional methods.
For those wishing to renovate their own furniture there is a full range of natural seating materials, tools, booklets and Liberon wood restoration products; most are also available by mail order.
Personalised tuition can be arranged in all chairseating methods, tailored to suit various abilities.
The Chair Workshop also offers a tool sharpening service, haberdashery and Seed Bead Designs: original fine bead jewellery, bead and pearl restringing, and jewellery repairs.
