Red Lion Pub
The Red Lion is an old village pub that dates back to the 1800s and is renowned for tasty home-cooked food, local ales and friendly atmosphere.

Duo is open during the day to serve meals, snacks, coffee & cake with a wonderful selection of homemade fresh foods. Meals are available from the Bistro Menu Friday and Saturday night from 6pm and there is a Thai night every Thursday and the second Saturday of every month.

Bull Hotel
The Bull Hotel is a 17th century coaching inn in the heart of Sedbergh. The hotel was refurbished in 2011 after it was aquired by J&G Inns, a growing company of independent inns & hotels.
The bar and restaurant, which are both wheelchair accessible, offer real ales, fine wines & delicious food.
Children are welcome, there is a large family garden at the rear with a children's play area.
On a Roll
'On a Roll' is new to the Main Street in Sedbergh, opening in August 2011. Owned and run by Beccy, On a Roll is open seven days a week, serving baguettes freshly baked on the premises to takeaway.
You can choose from a large selection of hot and cold fillings, including locally sourced bacon, ham and cumberland sausage, and each baguette is made to your individual order in front of you. You can have any combination you like from the available fllings and sauces, no matter how wierd and wonderful!
All the available options can be made on a half size baguette if a full one is too much; or if you simply cannot decide on just the one filling then you can try two halves!
If you're going for a long walk or a bike ride and won't be eating your baguette straight away Beccy will happily wrap it for you. A warm welcome awaits everyone at On a Roll.

Howgill Fellside Ice Cream
Whether walking the fell or passing through Sedbergh, try Real Dairy Ice Cream made on Lockbank Farm from milk produced by the farms cows.
Lockbank is a family farm with a herd of Fresian and Jersey cows who in spring and summer graze the fields below the fell and enjoy drinking the refreshing spring water. Dairy products have been retailed from the farm since 1897 when Matt Sedgwick founded his milk round. Roger and Suzan Sedgwick have invested in the latest Italian technology using the milk produced on the farm to create handmade dairy ice cream of the highest standard for customers to enjoy both straight from the farm or at home.
Flavours (subject to availability) include Simply Howgill, Royal Bourbon Vanilla, Swirly Strawberry, Simply Chocolate, White Mint, Howgill Hurricane (Honeycomb and Chocolate Swirls), Heavenly Hazlenut, Bubblegum, Jelly Bear (fruit flavour with raspberry fudge), Spicy Apple Crumble, Toffee with Clotted Cream Fudge, Wild Fruit Pavlova, Liqourice and Blackcurrant and Cappacino Crunch (mild white coffee with white chocolate and meringue).
Just call at the farm, click on the picture on the right and follow the map turning right at the house with green pillars. Ice Cream is available in cones, small pots or 2.45 and 4.75 litre tubs. Small tubs are also available from Duo cafe and Powells grocers in Sedbergh.

Stone Close Tea Room
A traditional 17th Century English tea room in the picturesque village of Dent, serving snacks, cream teas, sandwiches, home-baked cakes and hot meals all day. The Cross Keys Temperance Inn
The Cross Keys is a 400 year old National Trust Temperance Inn.ituated at Cautley on the A683 Sedbergh to Kirkby Stephen road and boasting one of the finest views of Cautley Spout and the Howgills.
The small farmhouse style restaurant serves a variety of home cooked food, (a particular favourite is Ham 'n Eggs) with an extensive menu for residents and non-residents.
The Cross Keys is a Temperance Inn and cannot sell alcohol but you are welcome to bring along drinks of your choice which may be opened with no corkage charge.

The Head at Middleton
A charming country inn in an area of outstanding natural beauty situated on the A683 between Sedbergh and Kirkby Lonsdale.
