Calf Top is a summit on the Middleton Fells about 4 miles south of Sedbergh. In 2010 its height was calculated by the Ordnance Survey as 1999.9ft – about 1¼ inches below the threshold for a mountain.
In 2016 Ordinance Survey recalculated the height using various improvements in their GPS network and greater precision in the way heights are calculated. This resulted in a revised height of 2000.02ft placing it in the mountain category by about ¼ inch.
