Location: Ambleside
Ambleside, its people, and the surrounding Lake District landscape. It has a collection
of over 17,000 Brunskill’s glass plates, covering the period 1860-1906. The Brunskill
brothers were born and lived in Sedbergh until they moved to Bowness and then
Windermere. We expect to see a selection of the Brunskill images.
Some other events in July 2026
United Utilities are planning to start work replacing a water supply pipe in the playing field on Howgoll Lane from Wednesday 1st July 2026. They will at some point need to carry out a road closure to a small section of Howgill Lane beside the playing field in order to complete the connections. The closure will be carried out during the evening or weekends.
