Remembering Wartime Kirkby Lonsdale

John Hamlett’s film on ‘Remembering Wartime Kirkby Lonsdale’ will be shown. This is one of three films based on interviews with Kirby Lonsdale residents from the 1920s onwards. Although centered around there, this film covers many events up to Sedbergh, including joint military matters such as the Home Guard. The film includes new eyewitness accounts of the German warplane which came down in Barbon near Treasonfield Farm.
