Celebrating 25 Years of The Wool Clip marks a significant milestone for the artist-led co-operative founded in 2001 with a shared ambition to add value to British wool. From its beginnings as a small collective, The Wool Clip has grown into a respected organisation dedicated to championing the beauty, sustainability, and heritage of this remarkable natural fibre. While the membership has evolved over the past twenty-five years, the group’s core purpose and values remain unchanged.
This anniversary exhibition brings together work by current members, showcasing the breadth of skills, techniques, and creative approaches that define The Wool Clip today. The exhibited pieces range from traditional woolcraft practices to innovative contemporary interpretations, reflecting a deep commitment to craftsmanship, experimentation, and material integrity.
As part of this celebration, the exhibition also honours the collaborative spirit that has sustained the co-operative for a quarter of a century. It reflects on shared achievements, acknowledges collective growth, and looks ahead to the future possibilities of working with British wool in creative and meaningful ways.
