While playing around with mysterious signs on the wall at their new ‘home’ the children suddenly find themselves on a magical island. A strange, other-worldly boy tells them the island’s ruler has cast a wicked spell on his wife, the beloved Snake Queen, and without Anna and Mikey’s help the island will succumb to a terrible disease. Can the troubled siblings do it, and will their journey give them the courage to cope with their struggles in the real world?
