Tenth AGM since founded It will be our 10th AGM since we were founded 10 years ago and we are very pleased to have reached that milestone.
We have been called to just under 600 patients in that time being stood down just over 150 times meaning that we have treated 427 patients averaging just under one call a week. Over the ten years we have had 10 Community First Responders on the team settling down to our current team of 3. We always welcome new members and are happy to explain what is involved to anyone interested.
We have also carried out community training to various groups such as Young Farmers, WI, Schools and businesses. We are always happy to carry out these training sessions informally or formally ranging from basic defibrillator awareness to full first aid courses. Please get in touch if interested.
We have fund raised and facilitated the installation of community defibrillators around the town and there are now 8 CPADs (Community public access defibrillators) placed in and around the town.
Massive thanks are due to various donors who have contributed the funds necessary for our team. We continue to value our links with Dent CFR team who mentored us in our early days. Most importantly I thank all the team members who make sure that our team is functioning effectively and efficiently.
