Carrie de Silva has a law degree and worked in corporate taxation and then spent many years in universities. Semi-retired, she still contributes to postgraduate teaching in law as a visiting professor.
She has contributed to the ‘Oxford Dictionary of National Biography‘ and now focuses on historical research, particularly biographical studies of women commemorated in UK street names, as well as the early contributions of women in the professions.
Carrie lives in rural south Cheshire with cats and hens, her children having long since flown the nest.
