Alan Cleaver is a retired journalist living in Whitehaven, Cumbria. With his partner Lesley Park, he likes nothing more than wandering the Lake District fells in search of fairies, boggles (ghosts), lonnings (country lanes) and all things slightly odd. He’s slightly odd himself preferring to use pens rather than computers, and known to still write ‘real’ letters rather than send emails or texts. Through his books he shares his love of Cumbria’s folklore and history.
