Michael Winstanley will give a talk on ‘Child Labour in the Nineteenth Century’. He makes a welcome return after giving many talks about aspects of past life in the North West. After a talk last season by Malin Holst about the disfigured bones of children factory workers discovered in Fewston churchyard, he is to take up the story of how the lives of these youngsters improved in the following period.
