Apple Days were started in 1990 mainly in the UK as an annual celebration of apples and orchards, and we hope that this fifth Sedbergh Apple Day will be one of many in the future. Apple Day will give everyone in the community an opportunity to bring along their apples, any type – eaters and cookers and in any condition, washed but not bruised – which can be juiced and taken home either to drink or freeze. We have been to quite a few Apple Days held all over the County, and believe us when we say the most unpromising looking apple can turn from a frog into a prince as far as drinking juice is concerned! All you need to bring on the day are apples and sterilised bottles.
