Opening hours: Generally we try to be open every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10:30am – 4:00pm. Other times of the week by appointment. But if you happen to see a weaver at work in the shop please do come in, we love to share our craft.
We sell a wide choice of one-off individually handwoven pieces including silk scarves, wollen wraps/shawls, cotton teatowels, cushions and other household accessories.
In addition we offer a wide selection of British wool products, including large bed blankets, throws, scarves and knitted socks, all designed in-house and made in the UK from wool grown on Sedbergh-area farms.
We also sell a variety of British wool tweeds designed in-house and woven in the UK. You can purchase small pieces fro craft projects or buy it by the metre. Perhaps you’d like a tweed waistcoat? We have off-the-peg waistcoats in the shop or you can purchase a length of tweed and take it to local seamstress Jeanette Hanna for a made-to-measure option.
There is an eclectic ever-changing choice of small accessories – including draft stoppers, lavender bags, small pouches, tote bags, hot water bottle covers, notebooks, and tea cosies, to name a few – all made locally from our woven fabric off-cuts. British wool knitting and weaving yarns are also available.
Throughout the year we invite guest artists to exhibit their work in the shop so there is always something new to see and enjoy.
