Sedbergh Soap was developed by Dorthe Pratt because of her own severe eczema since birth. All the products are tested by Dorthe on herself, not on animals. The soap’s fresh smell, that lasts until the very last bit is used up, comes from 100% pure essential oils and the natural colours come from organic herbs and plants, most of which are grown on the farm. Another key part of our their core business ethos is that they use a minimum of packaging which is all 100% biodegradable.
The full range of soaps and other natural bath products are available locally from both the gift shop at Farfield Mill Arts and Heritage Centre and the Sleepy Elephant shop in Main Street, and from several high quality gift shops, popular Farm Shops, Farmers’ Markets and Visitor Attractions elsewhere. Sedbergh Soap Co. also supply 5-star Gold Awarded B&Bs with mini Sedbergh Soap for their guests.
Sedbergh Soap Company was the winner of the National Startups Business Awards 2008.
