Sedbergh Information Centre is looking for a new Centre Manager

Sedbergh Information Centre & Howgills Bookshop is a community organisation with a paid Centre Manager and staffed by volunteers. The Centre Manager is responsible for all aspects of management of the centre:

  • Organising and supporting volunteers in providing a wide variety of information to visitors and local residents, selling maps, gifts, new and second-hand books, and providing a range of other services.
  • Organising artisan street markets
  • Keeping financial records
  • Reporting to the board of directors of Sedbergh Community Interest Company

The post would suit someone who has a passion for the Sedbergh area, is keen to help other people, and has good organisational skills. Previous experience in tourism or retail would be an advantage but full training will be given.

Terms are 20 hours per week at an annual salary of £11,440.
