72 Main Street houses the Sedbergh Information Centre on the ground floor. The upper floor is used by Sedbergh History Society and Cumbria Police and a meeting room and office are available for community use for a small payment. The Information and Book Centre manages bookings.

Sedbergh Community Trust is also responsible for managing the charity shop. The profits from the charity shop go to the Sedbergh Community Fund, which during the past years has made grants to the community of around £20,000 each year. During the last financial year £19,910 was awarded to nineteen different organisations.

The Grants Committee meets four times a year in February, May, August and November to consider applications for grants. There are two levels of application, small grants defined as £500 or less and substantial grants of over £500. The closing dates for grant applications are the second Friday of February, May, August and November.
