72 Main Street houses the Sedbergh Information Centre on the ground floor. The upper floor is used by Sedbergh History Society and Cumbria Police and a meeting room and office are available for community use for a small payment. The Information and Book Centre manages bookings.
Sedbergh and District Community Trust is also responsible for managing Clutterbooks and Clobber community charity shop. The profits from the charity shop are redistributed to community groups via the Grants Committee. To date over £200,000 have been distributed in this way.
The Grants Committee meets four times a year in February, May, August and November to consider applications for grants. There are two levels of application, small grants defined as £750 or less and substantial grants of over £750. The closing dates for grant applications are the second Friday of February, May, August and November.
