Simon was a detective for 27 years, initially solving volume crimes such as burglary, robbery and rape, then later working in covert and undercover policing. He also spent time in counter-terrorism and close protection. As a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) Simon led a team of detectives in more than a hundred major investigations including 30 murders.
Simon now concentrates on writing, as well as speaking and broadcasting about his experiences. He is the author of the Christian Dane crime novels, published by Sharpe Books.
