The Wednesday Market

Markets are held on Joss Lane town centre car park adjacent to the Tourist Information Centre and Community Office with a further greengrocery stall adjacent to the Library on Main Street.

The weekly Wednesday market is a small but important market, selling a range of staple produce to include, artisan baked breads, eggs, wet fish, tray bake confectionery and biscuits, fruit and vegetables.

The market trades from 8.30am, closing mid to late afternoon dependent upon the season.

The Producers’ Market

Producers’ Markets are held on the last Wednesday of the month April to September. At the Producers’ Markets there are further stalls offering an extended range of local produce to include, speciality foods such as chutneys, preserves, trout, puddings and cakes. There are also usually plants and shrubs and crafts.

Sedbergh Charter Market Fair

The Sedbergh Charter Market Fair , held on a Saturday in mid August each year, is the largest of the Sedbergh Markets with a wider range of stalls and a variety of street entertainment.
