Tourist Information Office logo A range of maps and guidebooks can be purchased from the Sedbergh Tourist Information Office in the Dales and Lakes Book Centre.

The Harvey map "Yorkshire Dales - Sedbergh Walks" which describes 8 walks centred on Sedbergh, which is clear and easy to understand and includes historical and other information of interest about the places along the routes.

An information pack "Exploring Sedbergh and its Environs" contains leaflets describing interesting features to be found on five seperate walks in the area.

A walk to Akay Woods
A collection of photos with brief notes describing a gentle walk of about 1½ miles. Each photo has a link to the next in the sequence so you can follow the walk from the start.
Sedbergh School
Sedbergh's eminent public school was founded in 1525 by Roger Lupton, the Provost of Eton. Its numerous buildings, grounds and playing fields are prominent and familiar features around the town.
Winder Fell
The climb to the 1551 ft. (473 m.) top of Winder is a very popular walk from Sedbergh on account of its close proximity to the town and the splendid views of the Lake District hills, the Shap Fells, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lune Valley stretching down to Morecame Bay.
Wild Card Walks
