Oxenholme station is 10 miles from Sedbergh.
Local bus services between Kendal and Sedbergh stop at Oxenholme Station.
There are taxis in the station forecourt. The fare to Sedbergh is about £25.

Trains stop at Garsdale (9 miles), Dent (10 miles), and Kirkby Stephen (12 miles) stations.
Garsdale, Dent and Kirkby Stephen stations are all un-staffed and do not have taxi ranks.
There are Western Dales Bus bus services between Dent station and Sedbergh on Saturdays and Summer Sundays. They run a bus service between Dent and Sedbergh and Garsdale station on Tuesdays and one between Dent and Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen station on Fridays.
Note that Dent station, which is the is the highest railway station in England, is 4½ miles from the village of Dent.
