The curriculum covers a broad range of academic subjects, sports and other outdoor activities. The playing fields visible around Sedbergh are testament to the importance placed on physical exercise. The School is particularly renowned for its rugby and also for its hockey, netball and cricket.
Music and drama at the school are just as important as the outdoor activities. The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) band travel throughout the world and the choirs, orchestras and actors do likewise.
