The festival kicks off on the Friday evening with Film Noir at the Bar, including Sedbergh’s Famous Pizza Picnic Supper followed by presentations on Saturday and Sunday.

A Murder Mystery, ‘The Case of the Late Cook’, from the pen of acclaimed crime writer, Kate Ellis.
Whodunnit? It’s for you, the audience to decide.

Sunday’s sessions include conversations between authors, a talk on crime scene investigations by a former Murder Squad detective and a bookshop with the opportunity to have your books signed by the authors.

Advance tickets for all our festival events should be purchased online from Trybooking.com. There are also direct links from the detail page for each event on our site which you can use to buy tickets.
Although online advance booking is preferred you can pay at the door for the Saturday and Sunday events but not for the Friday film where advance booking is essential in order for us to ensure we have the right amount of Pizzas.
The following tickets are available:
- Friday 17th 6:30pm – ‘Film Noir at the Bar’ including Sedbergh’s Pizza Picnic £20
- Saturday 18th 10am to 8:30pm – All day ticket, all sessions including the evening Murder Mystery £40
- Saturday 18th 6:30pm to 8:30pm – Murder Mystery with audience participation £5
This ticket is for those wishing to attend the evening event only. The Murder Mystery is included in the price of the all day ticket - Sunday 19th 9:30am – 2:30pm – All day ticket, all sessions £25
- Special Offer, Season Ticket includes all sessions from 10am Saturday to end of Sunday 2:30 pm £55
Location info
The festival events take place in the People’s Hall, Howgill Lane, LA10 5DQ .
The People’s Hall has a small free car park but if full there is nearby street parking, and a short walk away are the pay and display car parks in Joss Lane near the Sedbergh Information Centre and on Loftus Hill to the south of the town.
