Saturday 11th May 2019 2:30pm

Location: St Andrew’s Parish Church, Sedbergh

Website: http://lacr.uk/

The Lancashire Association of Change Ringers are holding their branch meeting in Sedbergh to mark the return of the Woodhouse Ringing Machine to Sedbergh. The machine was made by George “Bobby” Woodhouse around the 1930s.  Bobby was a teacher at Sedbergh School and also a prominent bell ringer, his name being on every peal board in the church ringing chamber. After many years of obscure storage in the homes of LACR members or their relatives, the machine now has permanent accommodation in a temperature-controlled environment at St. Andrew’s Church, Sedbergh.

The church bells will be rung from 2.30pm with demonstrations of the Woodhouse Ringing Machine during the afternoon.

Refreshments will be served.
