All week many of the shops in Sedbergh will have swift bunting and displays and the craft workshop will have a window displaying their skillful work.

UK Swift Awareness Week aims to highlight the plight of swifts and show how we can help these much-loved birds that delight us in summer as they hurtle around the rooftops in our towns and villages.

Sedbergh Artisan Market

Our sixth season of markets continues with the June edition. The market has grown over the past twelve months and now runs along all of Main Street from St. Andrew’s church gate to the Information and Book Centre. You will find the best crafts, made by the stall holders themselves and delicious food locally produced by the traders. New for this year, there will be hot food. We are working to make the market more of a family occasion with competitions, street magic and games for kids, run by Settlebeck School, in St. Andrew’s church yard. The town’s shops and cafes will be open as usual as a perfect complement to the stalls.
