In this new exhibition, my work is a reflection of an ongoing fascination with creating, reimagining and discovering a different life for and from my hoard of paper, print, fabric and textiles, emerging as landscape and finished with hand and machine embroidery.

Not Scrap ……but inspiration ….as are the Howgills which has been central to this collection.

About Valentine

Since leaving art school …..too many years ago to mention, I’ve been involved in artistic practice  ,both as a side-line  whilst renovating houses ,and now more fulltime  here at Farfield Mill.

In the past I have worked in ceramics, print, textiles and embroidery, and been employed as an interior designer, graphic artist and tutor, all of which have been informed by the landscapes in which I have lived, in Dorset, North Devon, Cornwall , The Pyrenees and now Cumbria and the Howgills, all inspirational in very different  ways.
