The Point Paper Art Company utilizes an archive collected over the last 30 years by fabric weaver Richard M R Smith. His family company E&S Smith Ltd traded between 1935 and 2005. They were based at Stadium Mills, Odsal, Bradford.

The factory acted as a contract weaver of Jacquard furnishing fabrics for numerous household names in the retail sector, decorative interior companies, plus contract firms supplying the hotel and shipping groups. The archive was invaluable during the Mill’s time and still is a great resource to the furnishing industry looking for ‘new’ styles of design or constructions of fabric. As well as an historical style library from around Europe, the archive is also preserving an important part of the North of England’s industrial past. The Point Paper Art Company is proud to bring the lost craft of point paper drawing and its beautiful art to a new audience.
