Admission: £10 if joining in Sedbergh

The walk starts from Sedbergh Information Centre, in the heart of Sedbergh, on Saturday 19th December before setting off at 7.00pm to take in the tumbling cascades of Settlebeck Gill, where walkers will spend a little time learning about the geology of the area, which so fascinated local lad and father of modern geology Adam Sedgwick. The group will head for the summit of Winder (473m), where totally uninterrupted 360 degree views unfold of the Howgill Fells, Lake District, and the Yorkshire Dales and not forgetting the twinkling mass of stars that make up the Milky Way overhead giving you one of the best dark skies views going and you never know if you are lucky enough you may even catch sight of the Northern Lights for that perfect dark skies experience. After taking in the panoramic views James and Ryan will lead you down to the welcoming lights of Sedbergh nestled at the foot of Winder.
