Funding for Sustainable Businesses and Community Projects in the Dales
This talk is pitched at businesses, community groups and individuals wanting to find out more about how the Yorkshire Dales National Park’s Sustainable Development Fund can support projects that aim to promote a more sustainable way of living in, working in or visiting the National Park. Meet Andrea Burden, Sustainable Development Officer for the Park who will introduce the scheme, the funding available and how to apply. Edward Sexton of Clapham based Glencroft will then reveal how the fund helped kick-start his company’s now successful ‘farm to yarn’ project – Clapdale Wool – buying fleeces from farms within a 5-mile radius and transforming them into Yorkshire-made hand-knit yarn.
