Founded as a charitable school in the 17th century, Chetham’s, based in the heart of Manchester became in turn a grammar school and, since 1969, an independent, co-educational school with a focus on music. It now has 300 students and is the largest specialist music school in the UK. Students aged between 8 – 18 are all bonded by a passion for music and believe in the power of music to bring people together and transform lives.
