A few words of advice before you start your entry

  1. You don’t have to take your chosen photograph too literally. You can be as imaginative and creative as you want to be but the origins of your piece must be recognisable from your chosen photograph.
  2. Study the photographs without over studying them. Sometimes first impressions can create the most creative stories and poems.
  3. You don’t have to write about everything you can see in your chosen photograph but you must write about at least one thing which can be seen in the photograph.

Prizes

There will be a prize for first place and a prize for highly commended in each age category. Prizes will be monetary vouchers for Westwood Books.
