The climb to the 1551 ft. (473 m.) top of Winder is a very popular walk from Sedbergh on account of its close proximity to the town and the splendid views of the Lake District hills, the Shap Fells, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lune Valley stretching down to Morecame Bay.
