Mark Lynas
Mark Lynas shows clips from the National Geographic documentary film about his global warming book Six Degrees and how humanity can avoid a fiery future.
Mark Lynas has worked for nearly a decade as a specialist on climate change, and is author of three books on the subject - High Tide: News from a warming world (2004), Carbon Calculator (2007) and Six Degrees: Our future on a hotter planet which was published last year. The book was published in the US by National Geographic and the television documentary based on the book was broadcast on the NG channel internationally. Mark was selected as a National Geographic ‘Emerging Explorer’ in 2006, and was placed at no.7 in The Independent’s Green List in 2007. He writes a fortnightly column for The New Statesman and is a regular contributor to The Guardian.
