Shakespeare4Kids is one of the UK’s foremost theatre companies, their actors specialising in engaging children and young people in the poetry and plays of Shakespeare in the most theatrically inventive and imaginative ways. Two actors from this world-renowned theatre and education company will be examining how Will Shakespeare was inspired to create the masterpieces we know and love. Four half-hour sessions are planned, two looking at how Shakespeare created much of the language we still use today, and two reviewing how he used political and social events of the day to inspire his works. These sessions are set to be an enormous amount of fun. Not only that, the workshops will be informative and insightful sessions that will appeal to every child and adult keen to learn from one of the greatest teachers of all time.

Please note: The Company’s visit to the Ideas Festival will consist of 4 x 30-minute workshops specially created for the Ideas Festival. These workshops are designed for a maximum of 40 people (parents and children) attending each session. This reduced number ensures that children and parents will be fully involved in the activities. It also means that there will be great demand for these workshops so please note that advance booking is essential.
