Jonathan Dawson
Insofar as the media addresses the issue at all, the great energy transition that lies before us as fossil fuel energy runs down is one to be feared and averted if at all possible. But might this transition (which is, by the way, inevitable) prove to be the greatest opportunity imaginable for us to re-create our communities as wealthy, vibrant and happy places in which to live? It really all depends on how we enter the adventure.
Jonathan Dawson is a storyteller and sustainability educator who draws much inspiration from having lived and worked in rural Africa for over a decade. He is President of the Global Ecovillage Network, the umbrella organisation for sustainable communities worldwide.
